Sub-processors

Last updated: June 3, 2026

What is a sub-processor?

A sub-processor is a third-party company that Nexma, Inc. ("Nexma") engages to process personal data on our behalf in order to deliver the Nexma spatial-intelligence platform and our AI agent, Jax. Sub-processors act under our instructions and only access the data necessary to perform the specific service we have contracted them for.

We rely on a focused set of trusted sub-processors for infrastructure, AI inference, authentication, mapping, and related services. Each one is bound by a data processing agreement that requires confidentiality, appropriate technical and organizational security measures, and data protection commitments at least as protective as our own.

Before engaging any new sub-processor, we conduct a vetting review that assesses the provider's security posture, privacy practices, certifications, data residency, and contractual safeguards. We only onboard providers that meet our standards and limit each one to the minimum data required for its function.

How to subscribe to updates

We are committed to transparency about who processes data on our behalf. To receive advance notice whenever we add or replace a sub-processor, subscribe to our sub-processor change notifications by emailing legal@nexma.ai with the subject line "Subscribe — Sub-processor updates."

Subscribers will be notified at least thirty (30) days before a new sub-processor begins processing customer personal data, giving you the opportunity to review the change and raise any objection before it takes effect.

Objection process

If you have a reasonable, good-faith concern about a new or existing sub-processor on data protection grounds, you may object by contacting us before the change takes effect.

We will work in good faith to address your concern — for example, by describing the additional safeguards in place or, where commercially reasonable, by offering an alternative configuration.

If we are unable to resolve the objection and the sub-processor is essential to providing the service, you may have the right to terminate the affected subscription in accordance with your agreement with us.

To raise an objection, contact our Legal Department using the details in the section below and reference the specific sub-processor and the basis for your concern.
